Our development capability

As well as being buyers and sellers of properties and property securities, we are also experienced commercial property developers. All of our property fund managers can take advantage of this expertise in running their portfolios.

We've developed properties across all sectors of the market, from major shopping centres to small industrial units and trophy city office buildings. As at 30 June 2009, we've completed 108 development projects across Europe with a capital value of around A$6.6 billion.

Our development process

Our approach is flexible. We undertake direct developments - appointing our own consultants and contractors - taking on 100% of the risks and returns for our clients. We also undertake joint ventures, where the risks are shared, allowing us to spread, source and invest in a more diverse range of opportunities.

Development team

We have an experienced in-house team of development managers and technical engineers. The team has in excess of 190 years' experience in real estate development, with on average, 20 years' experience per person.
